Dr. Gary B. Fogel Elected Fellow of IEEE

Dr. Gary B. Fogel, CEO of Natural Selection, Inc., was elected a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) for his contributions to computational intelligence and its application to biology, chemistry, and medicine. The award is effective January 1, 2012.

The grade of Fellow is the highest level of membership in the IEEE, the world's largest organization of engineers with over 370,000 members in 160 countries. Fellow grade recognizes unusual distinction in the profession and is conferred by the IEEE's Board of Directors upon individuals who have attained senior membership in the IEEE following a lengthy nomination and committee review process. Fewer than 1 in 1000 of the IEEE's members were elected Fellows this year.
