Dr. David Fogel to receive 2008 IEEE Computational Intelligence Society Evolutionary Computation Pioneer Award

Orlando, FL - Dr. David Fogel, President and CEO of Natural Selection, Inc., was honored with the 2008 IEEE Computational Intelligence Society Evolutionary Computation Pioneer Award today. The award will be presented to Dr. Fogel next June in Hong Kong at the 2008 IEEE World Congress on Computational Intelligence. The Pioneer Awards are the highest level of award from the society and recognize seminal contributions within specific fields of computational intelligence that were made at least 15 years prior to the award.

To be placed in the company of other evolutionary computation pioneers such as Alex Fraser, George Box, Hans-Paul Schwefel, Ingo Rechenberg, Michael Conrad, John Holland, Ken De Jong, Richard Friedberg, and my father Larry Fogel is very gratifying," said Dr. Fogel.
