David Fogel Presents Invited Lecture at Accelerating Change 2005 at Stanford University

Stanford, CA – Dr. David Fogel, CEO of Natural Selection, Inc., presented an invited lecture at the 2005 Accelerating Change conference today. The meeting, which brought together luminaries, scientists, government specialists, and others interested in the future impact of computing and other technologies, was held at Stanford University. Dr. Fogel's lecture "Accelerating Change by Combining Computational Intelligence and Human Intelligence," focused on evolutionary computing techniques for generating autonomously learning computers, and supplementing that learning with human insights and expertise. He focused on self-learning systems in games such as checkers and chess, and the extension to massively parallel problem solving in electronic circuit design and pharmaceutical discovery.

"It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to present this lecture to such a diverse group of enthusiastic participants," said Dr. Fogel. Other invited lecturers included Robert Hecht-Nielsen, Peter Norvig, Esther Dyson, and Ray Kurzweil. For more information on the 2005 Accelerating Change conference, please click here.
