Joe Rothermich Serves on the Industry Panel Plenary Discussion at the IEEE Swarm Intelligence Symposium

Pasadena, CA – Joe Rothermich, a Senior Staff Scientist for Natural Selection, Inc., served as a panelist for the IEEE Swarm Intelligence Symposium held this week in Pasadena, CA. The industry panel discussion was a plenary session to discuss the growing commercial applications of swarm intelligence and collective behavior such as distributed data mining, optimization, and control systems. The study of swarm intelligence uses inspiration from problem solving in nature, including the way ants, bees, and other social insects work together to collectively solve complex tasks.
