Dr. David Fogel Presents Keynote Lecture at 2004 IEEE International Conference on Information Reuse and Integration
Las Vegas, NV – Dr. David Fogel, CEO of Natural Selection, Inc., presented a keynote lecture at the 2004 IEEE International Conference on Information Reuse and Integration today. The conference is being held at the Las Vegas Hilton. Dr. Fogel’s talk, which was invited by the conference’s General Chairman Dr. Stuart Rubin, was titled “Evolutionary Computation: Information Discovery and Reuse in Games.”
“This was an opportunity to present our most recent research and development on evolutionary computation and object neural networks to our scientific peers,” said Dr. Fogel, who continued, “We’re very pleased with the results of our evolutionary self-learning chess program, which now appears to be playing at a level commensurate with a grandmaster.” The combination of evolutionary computation and object neural networks provides the framework for Natural Selection, Inc.’s current SBIR Phase II grant from the National Science Foundation which seeks to commercialize this technology in entertainment software applications. Natural Selection, Inc. is extending the technology to pattern discover and recognition problems in defense and biotechnology as well.
