Dr. David Fogel Presents Keynote Lecture at Conference on Modeling, Simulation, and Optimization
Poipu, Kauai Dr. David Fogel, CEO of Natural Selection, Inc., presented the keynote address at the 2004 IASTED Conference on Modeling, Simulation, and Optimization today. His talk, titled "Issues in Modeling Complex Adaptive Systems," discussed the robustness of several models of complex adaptive systems, with specific attention devoted to cases where agents learn to improve their strategies in a coevolutionary framework. "The research I presented indicates the importance of understanding the sensitivity of models that involve multiple intelligently interactive players," said Dr. Fogel. He continued, "This research has broad implications for optimizing tactics in multi-player engagements, as found in combat mission planning, for example."
