Dr. Gary Fogel Named as Founding Editorial Board Member of the International Journal of Bioinformatics Research and Applications
La Jolla, CA – Dr. Gary Fogel, Vice President of Natural Selection, Inc., has been named as a founding editorial board member of the newly established International Journal of Bioinformatics Research and Applications (IJBRA) to be published by Inderscience Publishers, UK. "I am excited about the prospects for assisting with this new journal and honored to have been invited to participate on the editorial board. I hope that IJBRA continues to foster new research and applications areas in bioinformatics" said Dr. Fogel.
IJBRA was established to advance and promote the research and practice of bioinformatics and computational biology within the international scientific community. "Bioinformatics is fast emerging as an important discipline for academic research and industrial application. The large size of biological data sets, inherent complexity of biological problems and the ability to deal with error-prone data all result in special requirements such as large memory space and huge computation time. Dr. Fogel was chosen as a member of the founding editorial board because of his excellent reputation and achievements in this area" said Dr. Yi Pan, Editor-in-Chief of IJBRA.
