New IEEE Educational CD on Evolutionary Computation Released
La Jolla, CA - Dr. David Fogel, executive vice president and chief scientist of Natural Selection, Inc.Ò, is pleased to announce that the IEEE Educational Activities Department has teamed with the IEEE Neural Networks Council to produce a new educational CD on evolutionary computation. The CD is titled "Evolutionary Computation and Applications," and provides significant introductory material on evolutionary computation presented by Dr. Fogel, along with three case studies in applying evolutionary computation to real-world problems offered by Prof. Mohamed El-Sharkawi (Univ. Washington), Dr. Piero Bonissone (GE), and Dr. Stephan Freer (Agouron Pharmaceuticals). A round table discussion between the four participants concludes the presentation.
