Dr. David Fogel Gives Plenary Lecture at ANNIE2000
St. Louis, MO - Dr. David Fogel, executive vice president and chief scientist of Natural Selection, Inc.Ò, gave a plenary lecture at the Artificial Neural Networks in Engineering (ANNIE) 2000 conference in St. Louis. The title of his presentation was "Evolving Solutions that are Competitive with Humans," which focused on Dr. Fogel's recent efforts in collaboration with Kumar Chellapilla, senior staff scientist, that allow a computer to teach itself how to play checkers at the level of human experts.
