Kumar Chellapilla Gives Keynote Lecture at Learning'00

Madrid, Spain - Kumar Chellapilla, senior staff scientist of Natural Selection, Inc.Ò, opened the Learning'00 conference in Madrid, Spain with his keynote lecture, titled "Evolving an expert checkers player without using human expertise." "This was an important venue to discuss our research," said Chellapilla. He continued, "this meeting brought together a wide range of people interested in all forms of learning." Evolutionary computation is going to play an increasing role in machine learning, and it's important to identify the similarities between evolutionary learning and other forms of learning."
