Dr. David Fogel opens the 5th Online World Conference on Soft Computing in Industrial Applications

La Jolla, CA - Dr. David B. Fogel, executive vice president and chief scientist of Natural Selection, Inc., is the honorary chair of the 5th Online World Conference on Soft Computing in Industrial Applications (WSC5), which opened today. The online conference offers a unique medium for exchanging technical information over the Internet. Anyone can register for the conference, free of charge, and view the papers presented online. Registrants can then email questions to the authors, who will respond promptly. The conference runs between September 9 and 18, 2000. Dr. Fogel provides a six-minute introductory wecloming speech that can be downloaded from the home page of the conference.
