Dr. Gary Fogel to Serve as Technical Co-Chair of CEC2001

La Jolla, CA - Dr. Gary B. Fogel, Senior Staff Scientist of Natural Selection, Inc.Ò, has been named as a Technical Co-Chair of the 2001 Congress on Evolutionary Computation (CEC2001). The Congress is jointly sponsored by the IEEE Neural Networks Council, the Evolutionary Programming Society, and the Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE) and will be held May 27-30 in Seoul, Korea. CEC2001 follows two prior major conferences in evolutionary computation, the 1999 Congress on Evolutionary Computation, held in Washington D.C. and chaired by Dr. Peter Angeline, Senior Staff Scientist of Natural Selection, Inc. Ò, and the recently completed 2000 Congress on Evolutionary Computation, held in La Jolla, CA, in July. The Congress expects an attendance of approximately 450 participants from all over the globe. As with CEC99 and CEC00, the peer-reviewed proceedings will be published by IEEE Press.
