David Fogel Presents Keynote at Opening of Hosei University's Faculty of Computer and Information Science

Tokyo, Japan: Dr. David Fogel, chief scientist of Natural Selection, Inc., was one of two featured speakers at the opening celebration of Hosei University's new Faculty of Computer and Information Science. The new faculty includes over 20 professors and demonstrates a commitment to advancing technology in artificial intelligence, evolutionary computation, and neural networks, among other aspects of computer technology. Dr. Fogel's talk, "The Frontiers of Computer and Information Science," described the implications of our rapidly advancing capabilities in the areas of biotechnology, bionics, computer graphics, the Internet, and computational intelligence. The lecture, which was open to the public, was translated simultaneously into Japanese for the audience. Over 300 people were in attendance.
