NSI Selected as 5th Choice by Peers in Business Week Survey
La Jolla, CA: In a recent Business Week survey on international research institutions, published in the June 26, 1997 issue, respondents were asked if they were 35 years old "and had just won the first Nobel Prize for Information Technology, triggering invitations to any lab of your choice, which one would you pick?" Natural Selection, Inc. was selected as a 5th choice in the area of biologically-inspired information technology, including artificial life and genetic algorithms. The survey results can be found on the Internet at www.businessweek.com. Natural Selection, Inc. was the only corporation to receive such recognition, ranking equally with the Naval Research Lab, the University of California at San Diego, and the University of Illinois.
Natural Selection, Inc. was founded in 1993 to address complex problems in industry, medicine, and defense. The company possesses unique expertise in computational intelligence techniques, including evolutionary computation, neural networks, and fuzzy logic.
